It’s probably about time I share some knitted things around here, considering the title of the blog and all. Recently I worked up a pair of baby beanies and booties for a gift basket. The yarn I used was Knit Picks Comfy Sport, a decent yarn for a fun and easy project. It knits up into a soft fabric, just right for baby items.
I’ve been doing a lot of knitting the last couple of weeks, mostly as a way to relax after dealing with quite a bit of stress going on in my life right now, but also as an excuse to catch up on the TV shows people have given me over the last couple years but that I never found the time to watch. Most notably, this weekend I got through this charming little BBC show called “All the Small Things”. Definitely one of the better shows I’ve seen recently. It’s a comedy that only the BBC can pull off, quaint and charming and full of life and personality. It’s also a tiny bit of a musical. It was heart warming enough that it offered me a “feel good” story for this weekend, which I desperately needed. Here’s the musical excerpt that originally got me interested in the show (and Doctor Who fans, can you spot the Slitheen?):
